The Ponders Tract is a 900-acre property located inside The Nature Conservancy's Pemberton Forest Preserve. Here you can find seven different hiking trails ranging from one-half mile to four miles in length. An information kiosk is located at the trail head to provide a map and brochures.

This former logging property is open to the public from dawn until dusk between February and August. Parking is available just off Route 16. This lot is located about two miles west of Route 16's intersection with Route 30, or about four miles east of Route 16's intersection with U.S. 113.
