The Master Gardeners of Sussex County maintain and annually replant a demonstration garden that is open to the public. This horticultural program is based at the University of Delaware's Research and Education Center in Georgetown, Delaware.

The Sussex County Master Gardeners launched a helpline in 2010. Call (302) 856-2585, extension 535, for information and help on a wide variety of gardening topics including lawns, vegetable gardens, perennial gardens, shrubs and insects. Master gardeners are available for questions between April 15 and October 15 each Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 3 p.m.
