Banning County Park offers its visitors a variety of baseball and softball fields, two soccer fields, eight tennis courts, a playground, and multiple pavilions. Plus, its picnic areas are so large, they could almost double as campsites, if only camping were permitted. There is even a nature trail stretching south along the woodlands lining Route 4.

This park features two small wetlands centered around Lewis and Folly ponds, the latter of which is registered in Delaware's Adopt-A-Wetland Program.

We suggest you check Delaware's latest fish-consumption advisory before harvesting a fish. These can be found at Delaware.gov, keyword "fish advisory." And whenever in doubt, simply practice catch-and-release fishing, a fun pastime by all accounts.

As in any park, please be aware of your surroundings while walking in secluded areas.
