Discover birding by watching for those that are easiest to spot. It's all part of Hawk Watch, a program during which birders count hawks at almost 200 sites across North America. Two of these are in Delaware; one at Ashland Nature Center and another at Cape Henlopen State Park. See how many you can count during this, the fall migration on the Atlantic flyway.
Data collected during Hawk Watch is used by the Hawk Migration Association of North America to study the health of hawks and other raptors. To learn more visit www.HMANA.org.
If you like hawks, you might also like falcons, as seen at www.DOSBirds.org/WilmFalcons. Visit this website to view live Webcam images of a falcon nest located in downtown Wilmington. Happy bird watching!
